Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for the role of Detective Diane Russell. Kim Delaney has been renowned for playing Detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue. She also appeared on the drama series All My Children Philly, CSI: Miami, and Army Wives. Delaney was the only daughter of an United Auto Workers executive and his wife, who was a domestic worker. Her upbringing was in a home which included four brothers. In her early years she was aspired to become a court reporter. However, after graduating from high school and relocating into New York in the 1980s then she started modeling. She starred in 1981 as a naive teen in All My Children. Delaney is a well-known actress who has been involved in numerous TV movies, and dramas. Her career hasn't been good or satisfying personal life. In the past, this talented actress struggled to overcome addiction to alcohol, and was married twice only to that failed. The year 2005 was the time she lost custody of the only child that she had.
